The airline reservation software market streamlines critical operations, focuses on automating resource-intensive back-office processes, and increases airline revenue through turbocharged ancillary and e-commerce opportunities, which will boost all market demand.

NEWARK, Del., September 5, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The airline reservation software market was valued at US$5.2 billion in 2022 and should reach US$10.2 billion by 2032 finds Future Market Insights (IMF) in a recent market study. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.5% from 2022 to 2032. According to the results, revenue through the B2B travel portal grew at a CAGR of 10% from 2015 to 2021.

The airline reservation system is essential because it has the ability to significantly reduce errors that could have occurred when using a manual reservation system. Customers can book flights whenever they want through the online mode of operation.

Customers can thus use this system which makes reservations, modifies reservations and cancels reservations. In particular, flight reservation software is designed to work as a standalone application. The need for this system was recognized in the early stages of the airline industry, when information such as flight routes, aircraft, schedules and fares were published in ledgers by the airlines.

Travel agents were faced with the difficult task of searching separate books for bookings involving multiple airlines. It was a pipe dream to get a real-time picture of seat availability, as airlines only shared information at the end of the day. The airline reservation software is used for airline reservations and interfaces with a global distribution system (GDS), which allows travel agencies and other distribution channels to make reservations for the most airlines in a single system.

The reservation software provides airline reservation and reservation software design software for inventory management modules, such as a centralized database architectural style for real-time data, travel information and seat management, and accommodation.

Competitive analysis

Key Players of Airline Reservation Software market are Airmax Systems, Provab ARS, VIDECOM design, SkyVantage, Results Reservation System, Kiu RES Airline Solutions Suite, Blue Sky Booking, SabreSonic Res, RezG-Package, AvAIO, Odysseus Solutions, Crane PAX, Saber Airline Merchandising, Takeflite Reservation System, aeroLINE, AirKiosk System, Bird Group, iFly Res and AmeliaRES.

  • Saber Retail Intelligence is a suite that enables airlines to deliver personalized travel deals through traditional and non-traditional channels. (CNN) — Wandering the halls of Hong Kong’s Cyberport innovation center, the little rice robot is on a mission.

The stocky white cuboid resembles Star Wars’ R2D2 robot in build, but has the wide-eyed expression of Pixar’s WALL-E. He delivers drinks to HFT Life cafe customers in a compartment of his “head” which is unlocked by the customer using a PIN code sent to their phone.

While Rice’s operations at the cafe are limited to dispensing beverages, the compact robot already provides a range of services at locations in Hong Kong and Japan. Rice is deployed as a bellhop at the Dorsett Wanchai Hotel in Hong Kong, providing room service to guests. In Tokyo, he delivers snacks to SoftBank Group headquarters employees from the building’s 7-11 convenience store. Earlier this year, Rice even made her television debut in the Cantonese drama series Communion, delivering coffee to an actor.
Rice is part of a new generation of intelligent robots, capable of navigating complex and busy environments, including elevators. Equipped with light sensors, depth cameras and ultrasonic sensors to avoid obstacles, Rice can maneuver freely around hotels and multi-story shopping malls, says Viktor Lee, founder and CEO of Rice Robotics.

Customers are given a PIN code, allowing them to open the hatch in Rice’s “head” to retrieve their drinks.

Rice robotics

Describing Rice as “your friendly neighborhood robot,” Lee hopes he can help the hospitality industry tackle labor shortages as the population ages, while appealing to post-pandemic demand for reinforced hygiene protocols.

“Even after COVID, people are paying a lot of attention to contact,” says Lee. He believes that “this type of delivery robot will see steady growth over the next five to 10 years.”

Pandemic robotic boom

With a background in logistics, Lee founded Rice Robotics in 2019 to solve the challenge of “last mile delivery”.

Supported by the Cyberport incubation program, Lee and his team developed Rice, the first of his three robots. Designed for the delivery of goods, it can be used in the healthcare, retail, logistics and hospitality sectors.

The pandemic has created new demand for service robots, with the market growing by 12% in 2020 according to the International Federation of Robotics. This opened up a new role for Rice: quarantine hotel butler. In Hong Kong, strict regulations saw incoming travelers quarantined for up to three weeks, and hotels had to find new ways to minimize human contact and prevent cross-contamination.

The Dorsett Wanchai Hotel began using Rice robots in June 2021. “It’s a great way to serve our guests and maintain our service standards while adhering to social distancing and anti-pandemic measures,” says the general manager Anita Chan, adding that customer feedback has been positive, “With its cute appearance, Rice Robot is particularly popular with children.”

During the pandemic, the Dorsett Wanchai hotel in Hong Kong has set up a team of high-tech robots, including droids for cleaning and disinfection, and Rice for contactless room service.

Dorsett Wanchai

Lee says that during the pandemic, customers started asking about cleaning robots. His team responded by developing a second robot, called Jasmine, in just eight weeks. Replacing Rice’s delivery compartment with a reservoir of disinfectant solution, Jasmine has two spray nozzles on her head to disperse the disinfectant.

Lee created a new persona for Jasmine – who has already been deployed in malls, conference centers and airports – by giving her cartoon eyebrows that criss-cross in a serious expression. “She has to go out and disinfect the whole place, and she doesn’t want anyone getting in her way,” Lee says.

The team’s third product, Portal, is a larger robot with a touchscreen, two-way intercom and streaming cameras for patrolling public spaces. In addition to making deliveries, Portal can guide visitors to places such as shopping malls, conference centers and hospitals.

Hospital robots

While industrial robots are commonplace in the automotive, manufacturing, and electronics industries, until recently most service robots in hospitality were used for novelty purposes.

But the pandemic has changed that, says Kaye Chon, dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In response to travel and social restrictions, “there has been an exodus of employees in our industry,” says Chon. Combined with concerns about hygiene and the growing acceptance of smart technologies by young guests, Chon sees robotics as the next step in the “digital transformation” of the hospitality industry.

However, the technology still needs to overcome some hurdles to achieve the same efficiency as industrial robots. Costs are still high for this technology — Rice Robotics’ products start at $9,000 apiece — and shopping malls, hotels and restaurants need to be adapted to be compatible with the robots, Chon says.

Staff also need to know how to program the robots, a skill set that is lacking in the industry. To remedy this, Chon has helped design a new “smart tourism” program covering AI, robotics and big data, but says it will take time for current students to enter the job market. “That’s how our industry evolves,” he adds.

Portal, Rice Robotics' third product, is larger with a touchscreen, two-way intercom and streaming cameras for patrolling public spaces, like Captain C, pictured at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Center.

Rice robotics

Rice Robotics has created a fleet management application for users and helps customers make infrastructure changes, such as programming robots and elevator systems to communicate with each other. The startup also offers its robots on a monthly subscription service, starting at $800 per unit, which includes technical and onsite support.

And while robots can help minimize contact between people, they still need to be sanitized by staff between uses, Chon says.

Chon sees a big opportunity for robots to perform simple, repetitive tasks in budget and mid-range hotels – but the technology is still far from replicating the “little personal touches” that high-end luxury properties sell on. range, he adds.

Rapid expansion

Rice Robotics is not the only player in the field of service robots. Danish company UVD Robots is supplying robotic butlers to the Yotel hotel in Boston. US-based Relay Robotics (formerly Savioke) has been building delivery robots for hotels since 2013, and Richtech Robotics’ Matradee robot assists human waiters as an autonomous serving tray.
However, Rice’s pretty facial features add to her appeal — an intentional part of the design, Lee says. Studies have shown that human characteristics increase affinity with robots, making Rice’s aesthetic a key part of her effectiveness in the hospitality industry for brands hoping to impress customers.
Lee says robots like Rice can help reduce the cost of

Lee says robots like Rice can help reduce the cost of “last mile delivery” and increase efficiency.

Rice robotics

Rice Robotics has grown rapidly during the pandemic, growing from a three-person team in 2019 to 26. Now based in Hong Kong’s Science and Technology Park, the company opened an office in Japan in 2021 to help manage his growing clientele there. With a rapidly aging population, Lee says robots are key to supporting Japan’s retail and hospitality sectors.

Beyond hospitality, Lee also sees robots becoming more common in our homes. In a recent project with the Japanese Postal Service, several Rice units were deployed to a high-rise building to help deliver packages and mail to residents’ doorsteps.

“Robots aren’t taking people’s jobs, but rather trying to help move society forward,” Lee says, adding, “Robots are the future.”

Corruption has crept in Legends of Runeterra with the release of Awakeninga new expansion featuring five champions, an event pass, and a new adventure in Path of Champions.

Scheduled to hit live servers on August 31, players can get a quick glimpse of the Awakening meta and new adventures in Path of Champions across the LoR The early access event will take place on August 30. The new expansion adds five champions to the roster, along with new mechanics and keywords. Riot is also implementing new ranked scaling adjustments, allowing players to scale up without frustrating LP punishments in Iron to Gold tiers.

Several of Awakening champions are added to the Path of Champions mode, along with existing champions. New relics and adventure paths are also added. The release of Awakening will result in a battle pass called the Corrupted Event, as well as Corrupted Skins for a handful of LoR champions.

Here are the notes for LoR Update 3.14.

New LoR champ

A total of five champions have been added to LoR within the Awakening expansion. Two are champions of Runeterra and one is a League exclusive champion of the universe previewed in Legends of Runeterra.

  • Ornn: Ornn is a champion of the Freljord region with a mana cost of seven. His champion package synergizes with gear and uses the Forge mechanic.
  • Jax: Jax is a champion of Runeterra with the original Grandmaster of Arms. It uses the new Auto-Equip mechanic and synergizes with Equipment.
  • Norra: Norra is the first LoR exclusive champ. She synergizes with Boons through her mysterious portal, providing large-scale strategies in the Bandle City area
  • Master Yi: Master Yi synergizes with the spell matter archetypes in LoR. The new Flow mechanic works with Master Yi, granting him evolving power.
  • Kayn: Darkin arrived at LoR with Kayn. He has his own origin called The Shadow Reaper and Kayn synergizes with Equipment. It also uses the new Auto-Equip mechanic.

Update 3.14 LoR balance changes

Balance fixes usually take place after an expansion. Only one existing card, Void Abomination, was targeted with an actual balance change. The Kai’Sa high-end card had its cost increased from eight to nine, and its base stats increased from 5/4 to 5/5.

The new Flow mechanism created some confusion compared to the existing one LoR cards, resulting in a text change for Deep Meditation and Eye of the Dragon.

  • deep meditation: New text reads “Flux—Costs two less. Draw two more spells.
  • The eye of the dragon: New text reads “Flow—Summon a Dragonling.

In addition to text changes, the LoR the developers have created a short list of explanations for new terms and mechanics in the Awakening expansion.

  • New: The term New game refers to any card that has not yet been played.
  • Portals: Cards with a Play effect (Loot, Dawn and Dusk) are not included in the Mysterious Portal random card generation list. The solitary monk is also excluded from the list.
  • Equipment: Equipment cannot be silenced.
  • Darkin Equipment: Players can throw equipment using spell mana, but choosing to throw the unit will not allow spell mana to be used.

It’s fair to say that PR is slightly further behind the technological curve than some of its more nimble cousins that you’ll find in the various areas of digital marketing.

While digital marketers automate and measure their output as much as possible, PR pros often focus more on nurturing relationships and brainstorming pitch concepts.

However, there are a lot of tedious and repetitive administrative tasks within a typical PR agency that can be easily automated, giving you more time to focus on what really adds value.

And we’ve taken this approach within our agency, identifying each manual process and then determining how it can be partially or completely automated. Or at the very least identify where we can add smart functionality that makes everyone’s life a little easier. Here’s a look at some of those automations that have had the most impact.

Outreach Email Accounts

While I’m sure many agencies discovered the usefulness of Slack a long time ago, what was a game-changer for our team’s productivity was the integrations available with this platform.

The most useful and convenient of all the integrations we’ve implemented is with our proximity email accounts. Each of our customers has a separate outreach email address, and responses we receive in each of these mailboxes are automatically forwarded to the relevant customer channel in Slack.

This allows everyone on the team to have a real-time view of all journalist responses from all clients, in one place and without ever having to log into an email account.

Slack and Quora

Another useful Slack integration has been Reddit and Quora. Part of our workflow is to keep tabs on all posts mentioning our customers so we can help manage the narrative. Setting up triggers that send alerts to the relevant customer Slack channel whenever a customer’s name is mentioned means we can manage all of our monitoring in Slack and not have to juggle other platforms. or tools.

Automatic win alerts

Another thing that would take a lot of the team’s time was researching published customer earnings online, so that was another area we wanted to improve. Therefore, we created a Slack app that connected Google News alerts to a dedicated Slack channel. By setting up instant Google alerts for each of our client’s brands, we were able to create a real-time feed in Slack that posted an alert whenever a new article was posted.

The data for each alert contains the customer name, post name, article title, and article link. By having every client services member in the automatic wins channel, everyone has a view of every win the agency achieves, which has helped break down silos and improve information sharing and ideation between the different teams.

Google Data Studio

This is going to be superfluous for agencies that run all of their outreach data through a CRM such as Salesforce, but for those that collect and store data from a number of different sources, such as sheets and platforms email outreach, then it’s a great tool.

We have created a number of custom dashboards, both for our internal agency management and for client use. We have automated data inputs from many sources, to provide us with a funnel view of all outreach actions, from sends, opens, clicks and responses, to pending wins and published wins.

It helped us take a much more performance marketing approach to campaign management, analyzing what worked and what didn’t, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.

Final Thoughts

These are just a few of the automations we have implemented. Our thought process has always been about first identifying the problem and then working back to find the solution. Avoid the temptation to set up integrations that may look neat, but offer little day-to-day utility.

Finally, since we focused on developing automations within our workflows, we found that Slack had evolved from a messaging app to a centralized portal for many agency functions, notifications, and alerts. . This has been great as it does not require any additional training or expense.

INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers who use supplemental food benefits under the Women, Infants and Children program will not be able to shop for groceries this weekend and will lose any benefits set to expire during that time.

Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, August 26, the entire process will come to a halt as the Indiana Department of Health updates its data warehousing system, with benefits expected to resume Monday, August 29. Meanwhile, vendors – such as grocery stores – will have to replace their outdated point-of-sale devices with new ones, which will process benefits under the new system.

“We know this is a major outage for our customers and suppliers, so we anticipate extensive communications ahead of the outage,” an Aug. 1 letter to suppliers said.

The letter included signage for stores to print and hang near cash registers.

In addition, the customer portal, the phone number on the back of the card and the app will not be available.

“We are migrating to a new platform to extend the capability of WIC electronic benefit transfer models into a new system called WIC Connect. The system uses a new portal that forces the supplier to change equipment; the timing is coordinated by provider EBT, which is implementing the change across all of its new WIC programs,” the Department of Health, which oversees the program, said in an email.

The department said it has notified customers via websites, social media posts and direct messages since announcing the change on August 1.

But customers using the service have decried the change online, noting existing limitations on buying allergen-free food and uneven participation from stores. For example, the state’s 582 WIC-approved stores do not include Aldi’s, a discount grocery chain, and neither Walgreens nor CVS, the major drugstore chains, have an eligible location in Indianapolis.

Recipient requests for comments were not returned by the deadline.

“We understand this is an inconvenience to customers and their ability to shop at the store, but doing so during the week would affect all clinics in the state and their ability to provide benefits and support customers,” the health department said.

For families using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program, their benefits will not be affected by the change in provider.

“If customers are in urgent need of food resources over the weekend, they can visit Indiana 211 Connect to find resources online, or dial 2-1-1 (866-211-9966) to speak to a navigator. community,” the health department said. by email. “They can also connect with Community Compass, which can guide families to statewide resources that include free meals, groceries and SNAP retailers during the outage.”

As designed, the WIC provides pregnant or breastfeeding parents with funding for nutritious foods, covering newborns up to one year after birth and children up to their fifth birthday. Health providers at the state’s 150 clinics perform an assessment to determine if an applicant is “nutritional risk” and if their income is eligible.

Some families already using SNAP, Medicaid, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families are eligible. Otherwise, families can refer to state income guidelines to determine if they should apply.

A family of four earning less than $51,338 per year, or $4,279 per month, would qualify for benefits.

The Indiana Capital Chronicle is an independent, nonprofit news organization dedicated to providing Hoosiers with comprehensive insight into state government, politics and elections.
